The glucocorticoid receptor in human disease

Description: The
goals of this conference are to (1) describe the current state of
understanding regarding the genomewide distribution of glucocorticoid
receptor (GR) regulatory sites, (2) explore the current understanding
of GR differentially regulated genes in disease states, and (3) develop
a preliminary prospectus of genes critically involved in GR-sensitive
pathologies and explore the potential of manipulating these gene
targets. Discussions will be directed to the development of a common
deposition mechanism for genomewide information regarding GR disease
states, relevant human mutant states, GR regulatory sites, and
differential gene expression. The meeting will attempt to provide a
focus to the worldwide community of investigators working in GR-related
rare diseases about molecular information available regarding GR
function and mechanism.
