The Thomas Ball Children`s Cancer Fund are to hold a banquet dinner and
disco on February 15 – which is International Childhood Cancer Day.
The function will be particularly focussed on raising funds into
researching neuroblastoma, a rare disease where research into fighting
it is not funded directly by the government.
Neuroblastoma led to the death of 14-year-old Thomas Ball in 2003, with
his mother, Elaine, setting up the fund in his name to finance research
into the condition.
Tickets for the event, which will be held at The Chequers Chinese
restaurant in Prestwood, are £25 and are available either from the
restaurant itself on 01494 862218 or from the charity on 01494 890157.
A website has been set up to receive donations to help fund research
into neuroblastoma at www.justgiving.com/combat-childhood-cancer.
