Cancer Advocacy Group of Louisiana 3rd annual NeauxCancer Conference

New Orleans, LA – This multi-day day, multi-track CME/CE conference is expected to attract a large number of medical oncologists, cancer surgeons, radiation oncologists, and other physicians as well as advanced practice providers, medical trainees, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. The conference will offer a wide variety of multi-disciplinary didactic sessions and expert panels, focused on the advanced management of cancer patients including the intersection of new and emerging therapies, novel surgical approaches, radiation oncology, target therapies, immunotherapies, and the application of precision medicine, among many others. In addition, special sessions focused on health advocacy and policy as it relates to cancer care will also be featured. The conference will also feature an abstract competition with a poster session and oral abstract sessions, as well as a traditional Louisiana-style crawfish boil.

 

Description

The Cancer Advocacy Group of Louisiana’s 3rd Annual Neaux Cancer  Conference will be held February 29th – March 2nd at the Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans. This three day CME/CE conference is expected to attract a large number of  medical oncologists, cancer surgeons, radiation oncologists, and other  physicians as well as advanced practice providers, medical trainees, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. The conference will offer a  wide variety of multi-disciplinary didactic sessions and expert panels, focused on the advanced management of cancer patients including the intersection of  new and emerging therapies, novel surgical approaches, radiation oncology,  target therapies, immunotherapies, and the application of precision medicine,  among many others. Target Audience

The Neaux Cancer Conference is designed for medical, surgical, and  radiation oncologists and other physicians, trainees, advanced practice  providers, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals involved in  the care of cancer patients. Hospitalists, internal medicine physicians, and  family medicine specialists are also encouraged to attend. Those involved in  healthcare policy and advocacy, drug development and/or marketing, and  diagnostic testing related to cancer or genomics will benefit from a review of  standard practices and emerging developments in the field.

 

About CAGLA

The Cancer Advocacy Group of Louisiana is a non-profit organization bringing  together cancer physicians, cancer survivors, and cancer non-profit  organizations throughout the state. The organization has been instrumental in  passing several new laws aimed at expanding insurance coverage for  genomic testing, precision medicine treatment, early phase clinical trials, and  mammograms for cancer patients. The organization’s Board of Trustees is led  by President Chadwick Landry. CAGLA’s Scientific Advisory Board is made of  several of the leading cancer care providers in Louisiana.
