We are proud to announce the “11th International VHL Symposium”, that will be held in Madrid from Thursday 23th to Saturday 25th, October 2014. Biannually it brings together leading basic and translational researchers and clinicians involved in the treatment and follow-up of patients with von Hippel-Lindau disease. These meetings help to establish connections among professionals that in turn promote progress in the understanding and treatment of this disease.
The Symposium will focus on recent progress in Von Hippel-Lindau disease, summarized in an attractive program. Some of the subjects discussed will be:
– New insights from OMIC approaches.
– The Cilia Centrosome cycle and VHL.
– New insights on diagnostic and prognostic markers in VHL.
– Current therapeutic scenario.
– Challenges in surgery of VHL patients.
The scientific presentations will take place on 23rd and 24th, 2014, in the Ernest Lluch Auditorium located at the Institute of Health Carlos III (Madrid). The closure will be on October 25th at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz Hospital, with sessions for the families affected by the disease.
Besides the lectures from international experts, young scientists can present their work as short Lectures and Posters. This format is aimed to facilitate extensive discussion of current issues and stimulate new ideas.
We are looking forward to your participation in this exciting Symposium.
