10th Asia-Pacific Conference on Human Genetics

The organising committee is  pleased to invite you to the 10th Asia-Pacific Conference on Human Genetics 2012 (APCHG2012) with the theme “Genetic and Genomic Medicine: Working Together Towards Health For All”.

The APCHG2012 will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is organised by the Asia-Pacific Society of Human Genetics and co-hosted by the Medical Genetics Society of Malaysia and the Malaysian Genetics Society. In line with recent advances achieved in the field of human genomics and medical genetics, the APCHG2012 will examine various themes on personalized medicine, human variations in the Asia-Pacific region as well the latest advances on genetic diagnostics and technology and their implications to healthcare in the region.

In addition, the APCHG2012 will also discuss issues pertaining to bioethics, genetics education and counselling as well as preventative strategies for birth defects and inborn errors of metabolism, and to provide a platform for patients and families to discuss emerging issues in individuals with inherited conditions and chronic disabilities.

We have invited prominent speakers from the Asia-Pacific region as well as eminent researchers and clinicians to speak on these new developments. There will be poster sessions, two concurrent sessions and various plenary lectures during this conference. We hope to enhance closer collaboration between the various genetics and genomics organizations from this region and the rest of the world, in order to bring new hope and life for those with no voice and to promote the science and arts of genetics and genomics in healthcare practices.

It will be an opportune time to visit Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia and renewed our friendships and ties. We look forward to seeing you during this APCHG2012 Conference.
