Myoglobinuria dominant form

Overview

A dominantly inherited condition which causes high levels of myoglobin in the urine due to destruction of muscle tissue. Episodes of muscle destruction was usually preceded by fever, virus, alcohol us end excessive exercise.

Symptoms

* High urine myoglobin level * Exercise intolerance * Muscle pain * Muscle cramps * Impaired kidney function * Pigmenturia * Increased creatine kinase level * Weak calf muscle * Enlarged calf muscle
