Symptoms

* High urine calcium level * Progressive kidney failure * Low blood magnesium level * Macular coloboma * Nystagmus * Malignant myopia * Severe vision impairment * Kidney disease * Blood in urine * Kidney stones

Causes

* X-linked recessive nephrolithiasis type 1 * Hyperthyroidism * Sarcoidosis * Hypokalaemic distal renal tubular acidosis * Metaphyseal chondrodysplasia, Jansen type * Zero gravity * Pituitary tumour (growth hormone secreting) * Dent's disease * Immobility * Idiopathic hypercalciuria * Paget's disease of bone * Cushing's syndrome * Vitamin D * Hypophosphatasia * Wilson's disease * Hyperparathyroidism, primary * Proximal renal tubular acidosis
