Corpus callosum agenesis neuronopathy
Overview
A rare genetic disorder involving mental retardation, progressive neuropathy and absence of the fibers that connect the two halves of the brain together.
Symptoms
* Mental retardation * Physical retardation * Impaired tendon reflex * Partial paralysis of lower limbs * Small head

Diagnosis
Current diagnostic techniques involve a combination of a physical evaluation, and diagnostic instruments. When a patient has been determined to have the necessary physical features, physicians then usually turn to magnetic resonance imaging to tell whether there is agenesis of the corpus callosum or not
