A rare disorder involving degeneration of the cerebellum and sometimes involves nearby spinal cord or brain tissue.
Symptoms
* Gait ataxia * Dysarthria * Rapid involuntary eye movements * Ataxia
Diagnosis
signs and symptoms of Cerebellar degeneration, subacute may vary on an individual basis for each patient. Only your doctor can provide adequate diagnosis of any signs or symptoms and whether they are indeed Cerebellar degeneration, subacute symptoms.

There is no standard course of treatment

There are two types of subacute cerebellar degeneration: paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration, which sometimes precedes the diagnosis of cancer, and alcoholic or nutritional cerebellar degeneration, caused by a lack of the vitamin B-1 (thiamine). These two types share symptoms but not the same cause.
