Sneddon Syndrome: A rare progressive inherited disorder involving the blood vessel disease and neurological symptoms.
Symptoms
Arterial disease Tingling on exposure to cold Numbness on exposure to cold Dilation of small vessels Red bluish discoloration of skin on extremities
Prognosis
Some symptoms tend to resolve over a very variable time course. Prevention of further vascular events with anticoagulation is the key to a good prognosis. Hypertension is associated with a more severe course of the disease.
