Overview
Degeneration of nerves in the part of the brain called the cerebellum which controls balance and muscle coordination.
Symptoms
* Impaired balance * Wide-legged walk * Lurching walk * Unsteady walk * Tremor * Jerky limb movements * Slow limb movements * Unsteady limb movements * Slurred speech * Nystagmus * Incoordination
Causes
* Biotinidase deficiency * Olivopontocerebellar atrophy type 3 * Olivopontocerebellar atrophy, type V
