A Vote for Darius Could Mean $100K Donation in the Fight Against Muscular Dystrophy

A vote for Darius could mean a $100,000 donation in the fight against Muscular Dystrophy!

Earlier this month, we brought you the story of Darius Weems and his quest to raise money and awareness to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy- the number one genetic killer of children. Darius has DMD. It’s the same disease that took his older brother, Mario’s life at the age of 19. Darius came to Savannah for a special screening of his documentary, “Darius Goes West” which chronicles his journey from Athens to L.A. to have his wheelchair customized on the MTV series, “Pimp My Ride”.

Recently, he was selected as one of five winners of the 2009 “Do Something” award which honors the nation’s best young world-changers. With your vote, he can now win the grand prize of $100,000 which will be donated to Charley’s Fund and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research.

You can vote once a day, every day, between now and June 4th.
